Arching, lime-yellow and green striped leaves spiralling around slender stems. Song of India (Dracaena reflexa) is a bright, architectural plant that lights up a living room, office or covered veranda.
Why you'll love it
- Vivid golden-striped foliage that glows in bright light
- Upright, branching shape that grows into an elegant small tree
- Tough and low-maintenance, so it's great for beginners and busy spaces
- Thrives indoors and on shaded patios
What you get
- 1 Song of India in a black nursery pot, as shown in our nursery photos
- The stand and other plants in the photos are not included
- Gallery images showing a fuller pot are illustrative. They show how the plant can fill out as it grows, not the exact plant you'll receive
Care tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light keeps the stripes vivid. It tolerates some morning sun
- Water: Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. Avoid soggy soil
- Feeding: Feed monthly during the growing season
- Shaping: Trim leggy stems to encourage bushier growth
Pet note: Dracaenas are toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. Keep it out of reach of pets.
